BIAS SoundSoap 2.4 for Mac is available as a free download on our software library. The program lies within Audio & Video Tools, more precisely Editors & Converters. The most popular version of the tool is 2.4. Our antivirus check shows that this Mac download is virus free. SoundSoap 4 can run either stand-alone or as a 32-bit and 64-bit plug-in in Audio Unit, VST, AAX and RTAS plug-in formats, and is compatible both with Mac OS and Windows. A feature inherited from SoundSoap 3 is that media files processed on the Mac platform can be shared directly to Facebook, email, messaging, AirDrop and so on. The latest version of SoundSoap is 5.0 on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for the General category. The app is developed by BIAS, Inc.
SoundSoap 5 retains its familiar user interface, but adds support for MP3 and FLAC, audio metering, and improved hum removal. Call the cleaner.
Open the media to be cleaned and SoundSoap will automagically find and remove background noise. Adjust the settings and share the results- its that easy! In most cases, only a few mouse clicks are needed for powerful results. SoundSoap includes everything you need to record and clean your media files on Mac or Windows.
New features:
Automatic noise detection* - SoundSoap analyzes media files automagically and will try to find the best location for learning noise. SoundSoap then automatically learns noise at this location rather than using a default, flat noise profile.
Set noise location* on the waveform display in the Media Window - move the vertical red indicator to learn noise at a new location in the media file.
Soundsoap For Macbook Pro
Waveform display for video* - now you can toggle a view between video and the audio waveform display.
Improved hum removal - the hum removal algorithm has been greatly improved.
Enhanced media controls* - return to start, backward, and forward key commands.
Audio metering
Full Bypass* - the Power button on Media Window now bypasses all SoundSoap processing for true A/B comparing.
Reset* - reset all controls and the noise profile to their default settings.
* = features available using application but not available to plug-in version
Most audio cleanup tools are intimidating in the extreme, with complex interfaces, packed with technical jargon. If you don't have a degree in sound engineering, you might prefer a simpler approach to repairing noisy audio - and SoundSoap 2 could be ideal.
Open an audio file, for instance, and there's no large waveform display, no talk of filters, spectral analysis or EQ. Instead SoundSoap opts for a few sliders, dials and buttons, which for the most part have clear and obvious labels like Noise Reduction, Remove Click & Crackle, Remove Hum, Remove Rumble and so on.
In many cases, though, you won't even have to use these options. Just click the 'Learn Noise' button and SoundSoap will figure out the noise in your audio, then apply the appropriate noise reduction settings entirely automatically. If this doesn't quite work for some reason then the results are easily tweaked; just drag the Click and Crackle slider, say, to apply extra cleaning power. And once you're done, the Enhance Slider replaces any missing high frequencies to leave you with a sparkling clean sound.
SoundSoap doesn't have the configurability of the more high-end audio repair tools, then, but there's more than enough cleanup power here for most purposes, and concentrating on the core basics only makes the program much easier to use (and cheaper, too). Conveniently, it's also available as a stand-alone PC and Mac application, and as Audio Units, RTAS/ AudioSuite and VST plug-ins, allowing you to use SoundSoap just about anywhere.
Please note, this 14-day trial version will fade your audio in and out periodically. You'll still have plenty of opportunity to hear how the repair tools affect your sound, but it won't be possible to save anything useful until you've purchased a SoundSoap licence.
Verdict:
Soundsoap For Mac
It's not quite as powerful as some of the high end competition, but SoundSoap does have some quality audio cleanup tools, and it's also easy to use, so will have you repairing your noisy sound files with the absolute minimum of hassle.
